Thank you Lord, last year I took up a Challenge with the help of the Holy Spirit to infect 4000 women with laughter and every time I face challenges along the way and wanted to give up, THE LORD reminded me about the 4000 to keep me going.

The truth is just the thought of other women’s laughter reminded me of the great work that God is doing and I never wanted to stop.

The reason for your laughter is in your laughter. Don’t forget to laugh daily.
“He will yet fill your mouth with laughter and your lips with shouts of joy”

ENCOURAGEMENT CHALLENGE

I choose Encouragement as my challenge since I already had a group which is about encouraging us on living our lives intentionally for Christ Jesus. Every now and then I share my praise and worship of the week with everyone in the group to listen and be blessed as I have been. I was very excited when others started sharing their songs too. If it’s a song I have heard over and over again but for someone else to share and say it’s their song at the moment makes me listen to the song again, and I will say in doing so it’s touches and blesses me in a new way. Two weeks ago one of the group member shared her song, I was at work when I got this and as I listened again and again to this song I felt the spirit of God his presence His hands around me all I could feel was God taking every burden I was feeling at that time away. I felt so special to Him. I started to praise Him worship Him and exalt Him. My spirit was in-tune with God. Before the end of the week there was a great news in our Home. Wa o truly when we praise and worship, heaven comes down and dwells amongst us. We all are uniquely made by God we are all meant for a purpose. You don’t have to be someone else have what the next person has got. All you need to do is focus on God. Intentionally have a relationship with Him. I encourage every one reading this today no matter who you are where you are what your situation is just praise Him, worship Him and see Him move in your life. Live your life intentionally for Christ.

PRAISE CHALLENGE

My name is Tolu Demuren and I am based in U.K. I heard about laughing women through Jite Newton, and attended the UK launch in September. The laughing women programme was very inspiring, entertaining and encouraging. It has impacted my life greatly and I am glad that I now consider myself to be a laughing woman. I actually took on a challenge from each category but I had 2 main ones that I felt led towards and knew I couldn’t afford to fail at. Two of my greatest passions in life are music and enabling children to reach their full potential in life. This is why I was drawn to the 2 challenges of “Praise God daily for 30 minutes” and ‘Educate 5 children in 1 year”. What better way to honour God than to give back to Him in praise; and love my neighbor as myself, by educating a child. My life since taking on these challenges has changed dramatically and those around me can testify to this. God has been faithful, He has blessed me beyond what I could imagine or ask. I have so much joy, peace and love in my heart. The next challenge I plan to take on is “Feed someone (at least 1 person) daily for one month”. There is no better time to take on this challenge than during the season to celebrate the birth of Christ. It would be a privilege to see someone and their family enjoy the festivities. Ephesians 610-11 “Finally, be strong in the Lord and His mighty power. Put on the armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes” and watch as you become a laughing woman!!

PRAYER CHALLENGE

On the laughing Women website I took up the challenge to pray for five people everyday for a month. This has really been exciting as the Holy Spirit brings to my mind names of people to pray for with specific prayer requests sometimes. I began praying for acquaintances, neighbors, Facebook friends and colleagues. People I hadn’t seen or spoken to in years. I felt like God was looking for someone to stand in the gap for this people and I had accepted the job offer. It’s a privilege and honour to be used of God and guess what, issues in my life were getting resolved as I dedicated time to praying for others. People began to call me out of the blues with prayer requests and God does answer prayers. Am excited about my next challenge it’s about encouraging a woman everyday for a month. And am trusting God for grace to follow through.

Galatians 67 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. 9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

PRAYER CHALLENGE

In Psalm 139:13-14, the Bible (NKJV) states that ” For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb.14 I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well” . This psalm brought a change in my life. I didn’t know who I was, why i was created, what life is all about and lived for over 50years seeking for love, acceptance and security. I was from a broken home and my fears of the unknown took a great hold over my life, education, and relationships. But in 2009 I had an experience with the above reference that changed my life, my family life, our ministry and lives of those that I counsel.    John 8:32 ” And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free, ” became my new life in Christ Jesus. I was set free from the feelings of rejection, anger, lack of self worth, fear and shame. Wow! Life took a new turn and outlook. I am bolder, happier and more loving and compassionate. Based on this life of joy and laughter, the ministry is also experiencing lots of laughter from those we counsel and train as Christian counselors.
